About

Mara Lifquist is a fourth year student at Cal Poly Humboldt studying film and studio art. She takes inspiration from horror movies and video games to create a sense of nostalgia, existentialism, and liminality in her work.

"In all of my earliest memories, there's one thing that is consistent among them all: art. As far as i can remember, I've always had a paintbrush or marker in my hand. Art is a huge part of my life, it's how I express myself. My creativity was cultivated by my mother and grandmother who raised me from an early age to always appreciate art and create my own."
